Hey friend,
In my last post, I was telling you about a new colourway that came out of listening to some lovely music while dyeing. If there’s one thing that people know about me, it’s that I’ve always got a soundtrack going. Music is always, always playing in my house, in my studio, in my car, in my head. It’s so important to my creative process and my life overall.
Last week, I was dyeing away when Jill Barber came through the speakers and deposited her jazzy, romantic music into my dyepot. When I pulled the yarn out, it was in the subtle tones of champagne, blush and ecru and I love it! The base is Shy Lace Silky, which is 80% Merino, 20% silk and 800 meters per 100 gram skein. This colourway doesn’t have a name yet. Thoughts?
I’m looking forward to knitting up some sexy little lace shawl so I can wear it to the ballet or the jazz club with a black dress and this sweet little vintage beaded silk clutch I inherited from my Oma. I’m open to pattern suggestions.
Dyeing for you,
Sylvia

Lovely gentle colors!
